The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine offers an enriching opportunity for undergraduate students through its Introduction to Dentistry Summer Program. This week-long, commuter program is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the dental profession, combining hands-on experiences, insightful lectures, and valuable interactions with faculty and current students.
Program Highlights:
Hands-On Experience: Engage in practical sessions within state-of-the-art simulation labs that replicate real dental care environments. Participants will have the chance to perform restorative dentistry procedures, offering a glimpse into the daily tasks of a dental professional.
Expert Lectures: Learn from esteemed Penn Dental Medicine faculty through lectures that cover various aspects of dental medicine, providing foundational knowledge and insights into the field.
Admissions Insights: Participate in informational sessions with members of the Admissions Office to gain a clearer understanding of the dental school application process and what schools seek in prospective students.
Student Interaction: Enjoy a Q&A lunch with current dental students, offering a candid perspective on dental education and life at Penn Dental Medicine.

Fee: $300 (due on the first day of the program)
Application Process:
The program is limited to 25 participants. Applicants must be undergraduate students in good academic standing. To apply:

Submit Required Documents: Send the completed application, an official transcript, proof of COVID-19 vaccination, and a 500-word essay addressing the following questions:
